Much of the unsold inventory items are being donated to Bissell Centre. Bissell Centre’s vision is to help people with the least access to resources increase their ability to determine and achieve their goals. These items will be used at Bissell Centre or sold through their Bissell Thrift Shoppe at 8818 – 118 Ave NW, Edmonton. Certain items will go directly to the Community Closet which is a voucher-based program at Bissell Centre assisting low income families and individuals by providing basic essentials of clothing and household goods at no charge. More than 20 Edmonton non-profit organizations are active participants in this program and refer clients to the Community Closet where clients can “shop” with dignity assisted by dedicated support staff.
