Adventures in Toyland

Why not give a reason for all the parents to want to sit at the kids table this year!  Our second table in the line up of fabulous holiday tablescapes in our showroom is inspired by all things young at heart.

With an array of classic Christmas decor and toys as its centerpiece this table is truly a reflection of children’s holiday films with bright colours, candy ornaments, and who could forget Santa and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas…

White Christmas Table

Well, the snow is officially here and with the nights getting longer, Christmas is just around the corner. Taking inspiration from everything that reminds us of the holiday season, our team at Event Planning Headquarters, a division of Special Event Rentals, has put together several fabulous holiday tablescapes in our showroom; a table fit for any type of seasonal get together.

Our first table is truly fitting with the new white blanket covering the ground outside our windows. Against a snow white backdrop, and satin silver linens, Manzanita branches act as the perfect starting point for the centrepiece of our table.

Masquerade Ballroom

Ever since the 15th century masquerades have been a part of celebrating special events, monumental occasions and of course weddings. This fall Kristina McAnally of Event Planning Headquarters, a division of Special Event Rentals, transformed the Empire Ballroom at the Hotel Fairmont MacDonald into a masked reception fit for royalty.

Flipped from a gorgeous green and white ceremony, the reception was full of bright colours, bold contrasts, and of course dramatic masks.

A Perfect “Flip” Wedding

With so many venues available to have your wedding ceremony, where do you begin trying to make that final decision? Not to mention finding the perfect location for your reception; and with parking, and transit, and guests with demands why not avoid all the hassle? Use one location to house a beautiful ceremony and your unique reception.

Kristina McAnally of Event Planning Headquarters, a division of Special Event Rentals, has created the perfect “flip” wedding at the Hotel MacDonald this past fall. Using the empire ballroom as her backdrop, Kristina created a beautiful green and white ceremony with tons of natural light, and transformed it into a bold and dramatic masquerade reception. You’d never guess it was the same room!

Julia has always loved weddings; big or small, indoor or outdoor, she has admired them all. Knowing how to get the job done, she believes that with her combination of creativity, organizational skills, and easy going nature, couples can have the wedding they have always dreamed of stress free!
